Grilled Artichokes
I’m a long time artichoke lover, Brandon introduced us to grilled artichokes for Brady’s birthday dinner, I may never go back to steamed……
He began by trimming the stems and removing the pointy tops of the leaves. I find cutting the leaves with a serrated knife works best. Then he steamed them until tender. To check, I either pull a leaf off the outside with tongs, let it cool a sec, and bite – or poke a sharp knife in the center – it should go through easily. He then halved them…
and scooped out the thistle centers….
next came the marinade, Brandon used Ken’s Asain Sesame salad dressing
they were finished to this point early in the day and refrigerated until later. all they needed to finish was a little time on the grill…..
the finished product was delish – no yucky mayo needed for dipping, their flavor was fabulous without any additions……..
